DUROARC 68A 2.5mm type general purpose 2.3kg Any outdoor use 8 Ton Lashing Capacity 6M ISL_C1412 6 8 Ton Lashing Capacity 6M Length Head Diameter: 1 DUROARC 68 is a very unique and versatile mild steel electrode The fast freezing flux offers the convenience of flat vertical up and down and overhead without changing amperage setting The electrode can be bent without flux breakage allowing the electrode to be positioned into difficult to reach spots without side arcing Another feature of this electrode worth noting is that while classified as a 6013 type it has tensile and yield strengths well above what would normally be expected of this type see mechanical properties belowSPECIFICATIONSTensile Strength600 MPaYield Strength540 MPaElongation25 Charpy V Notch 20C90JAPPLICATION Galvanised pipework Poor fit up situations Awkward welding positions where current adjustment is difficultWELDING PROCEDURES POLARITY DC OR OR ACHold a short to medium arc length lean electrode 45deg toward the direction of travel Use either stringer or weave technique In vertical positions extremely heavy deposits of mitre contour can be made in one pass for butt and fillet welds using a triangular weaving motion For second and subsequent passes only a simple side to side weave is require with a slight pause in each corner to avoid undercuttingAWS A51 E6013
