ACPM: Independent Accountant in Poland
To increase the level of knowledge and skills of specialists in Polish accounting so that they can work independently
After the course, students will be able to:
- Independently organise the work of accounting in terms of VAT, CIT, and financial reporting.
- Prepare financial and tax reports with minimisation of problems, stress, and fines.
- Avoid the risks associated with working as an independent accountant.
- Use the principles provided in the course to work with any accounting software.
Requirements for candidates
Completing the certification program does not require specific education or experience, but basic knowledge of management, economics, and finance will be an advantage.

Hard skills
- Knowledge of CIT accounting and reporting rules, including closing periods prior to advance payments.
- Performing depreciation, RMK, and other transactions required to close the month, quarter, or year.
- Work in Rewizor and Symfonia Mała księgowość accounting systems for accounting and reporting.
- Preparation of small business financial statements and full financial statements in accordance with Polish law.
- Keeping records and preparing tax returns PIT-28, PIT-36L, as well as social security reports (ZUS).
- Ability to analyse and respond to tax letters and inquiries (‘happy letters’) from the tax office.

Soft skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing accounting circumstances or client requests.
- Analytical thinking.
- Thoroughness and accuracy in accounting and reporting.
- Communication skills: ability to effectively cooperate with clients, tax authorities and other counterparties.
- Ability to quickly eliminate accounting errors and work with complex reports.
- Stress tolerance: the ability to remain productive under pressure, for example, during tax audits or closing of reporting periods.

Exam and certificate
The official ACPM exam is held monthly on a scheduled basis, online. Pre-registration is required to participate in the exam. The list of required documents and the exam registration form are available in the e-learning system.
The exam consists of 20 test questions and 4 tasks. The exam lasts 3 hours.
Passing score: 60.
The ACPM International Certificate exam is administered by administrators using a proctoring system (monitoring the student and their computer screen). Completed tasks are checked and evaluated by ACPM-accredited teachers.
Exam results are communicated to candidates by email 2 weeks after the exam. The international ACPM certificate is sent to the same email address within 2 months from the date of the results announcement in electronic form if the candidate scored 60 or more points.
