Alima Bekenova is the founder of «Zerde» Educational Center, one of Kazakhstan's leading institutions for professional education and international certification.
For more than 16 years, she has dedicated her career to advancing professional competence, developing high-quality educational programmes, and strengthening the professional community across Central Asia. Her vision has always been to combine international standards with practical learning, enabling specialists to build sustainable careers in a rapidly changing business environment.
Founded in 2010, «Zerde» Educational Center emerged during a transformative period for Kazakhstan's financial profession, marked by the establishment of the Institute of Professional Accountants and the country's transition from National Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). From its inception, the Centre positioned itself not merely as a participant in these reforms, but as one of the organisations actively contributing to the development of the professional education market.
Under Alima Bekenova's leadership, «Zerde» Educational Center became one of the first organisations accredited by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, receiving the authority to deliver professional training, conduct examinations, and award the qualification of Professional Accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the years, the Centre has grown into a recognised educational institution offering more than 150 professional programmes across 11 specialised fields, supported by a team of over 40 experts and regional offices in Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, and Tashkent.
